Bitstrip
Bitstrip.com is a free web-tool with which you can create comics. It is easy to acquire the skills to use this tool and therefore very suitable for students and teachers. The web page is clearly structured and it does not take very long to create a short comic. I think that there are many possibilities for educational purposes for example as a teacher, you can create exercises with the help of comics to motivate your students or you could let your students "write" their own story or let them visualize English jokes or scenes of a novel or a theater play. Underneath you can find an example for a worksheet on the subject of indirect speech we created in class.
Obviously the worksheet and the comic strip can be further improved but the time of our class was nearly up and so we finished it quickly. The creation of the whole worksheet from the idea to our final version took us about 30 minutes. I think that is alright because we used the tool for the first time and so we needed some time to figure everything out.
